Habit / Behavior Modification

Sticks and stones may break our bones; but words, when they catch us "wide open", can change our attitudes.   New attitudes can lead to changes in our scale of values, and as they change we tend to change behavior, even habitual behavior.   Words also form bonds of "habitual" association which can be opened and relinked to form new patterns of "realization", much as atoms can be rearranged to form new compounds.
